Japan – Prophetic Gold Mine and Seeing Ahead

The recent earthquakes and nuclear plant catastrophes near Sendai, Japan have drawn the attention of the whole world to this city and region of northern Japan.  It became the epicenter of these disasters.

Most people know little to nothing about Japan.  Now there is intense interest.  Some are saying these twin disasters have opened the door for the gospel of Jesus Christ to blanket Japan and redeem its people.  Let God lead you into prayers of intercession.

For the visitor to Japan, one can discern the nation and its people to be a mystery behind a veil.  It so many ways, the nation is isolated and independent from the rest of the world, especially after the end of World War II.  Japan was defeated and humiliated before the eyes of the entire world.  This left a deep and perpetual scar.  This scar is always there even beneath the great pride of the nation and its people.

In our visits to Japan over the years, we have visited several regions from the northern reaches of the main Japanese island of Honshu like Tokyo and Misawa to the southern cities of Otsu, Osaka, Kobe and Hiroshima.  The wonderful people in these places remain open to the Christian message even though they are mostly anchored in Shinto and Hindu religions.

While in the various areas of Japan, we have been called to pray over and over again.  On the surface there is a perceivable shell of hardness and intense focus that tends to exclude foreigners.  One who visits can easily feel ignored and being treated as an outsider.

The government is not closed to Christianity even though it is largely a nation that practices Shinto and Hindu as the leading religions.

Cry Now for the Land of Japan!

We are crying out for the people in the land of Japan! This is one of the nations that I have regularly visited through the years. Yesterday, we had an amazing prophetic time with Robert and Linda Heidler, Keith Pierce, and Anne Tate making decrees over Japan. LeAnn Squier then sang over the nation. Notice the map below. Prophecies are Being Fulfilled!
In May 2005, I took a team to Japan for a strategic prayer gathering on the northern island of Hokkaido. Hokkaido Island is called the Island of the Spirits — a stronghold of spiritism in both Japan and the 40/70 Window. However, we went there to release a move of the Holy Spirit to overtake Japan. Several weeks before we left I received this word from my brother, Keith Pierce:
“There will be a shaking coming to Japan that will bring them to their knees. This shaking will change the industry of the nation. Japan has been built upon a fault line linked with a deep wounding from the past. This shaking will occur before the apostolic team that I am sending to Japan arrives. When they arrive, I will begin the healing of the fault line and release a new anointing for industries. I am sending you to the people group of that area and they will be humbled in the midst of their pride. Do not fear. I am causing the mountain to be brought down and the valleys to be brought up. I will create a leveling effect in Japan.” Within a few weeks, there was a major shift in their stock market as well as a major train wreck. Now, we see that nation trembling and shaking.

On May 7, 2005, while we were in Japan on the island of Hokkaido, the Lord said: “This will be the year that Japan changes – one way or another..As I have brought you to the north (of Japan), I will also bring you to the south to gather you. I have been awakening the north wind to blow upon you now. When you gather in the South (Okinawa) and decree the south wind to come forth, you will see a visible swirling of My Spirit in Kobe, Kyoto and Tokyo. There will be a swirling, surrounding wind that overtakes the nation. This is the wind of change. I will cause waves to come in such a way that portions of the island are covered with water in the center of this land. This will create a cry that says, ‘I must find higher ground.’ This is a time of awakening that I am bringing to the northern point (Hokkaido Island). What I awaken here will sweep across the whole nation of Japan. The enemy would love to come through the East gate and bring an adverse wind that would change the course of the world. But if you will awaken the North Wind this hour then seeds of revival will begin to flow. My wind will blow open the resistance in governmental people that is set against My plan and devise to constrict My people. My wind will also open up an economic understanding in My people.”

We declared, “Awake, O north wind! Awaken the north wind, and cause this garden that has been enclosed by the enemy to open up so that these seeds of harvest will come forth.” We also shared that it will be heard on the news that the nation of Japan is surrounded by wind. This will be a sign that harvest will sweep that nation. At that time I also encouraged the leadership to establish schools of the prophets both on Hokkaido Island (the far north) and Okinawa (the far south) to keep the wind of God blowing and to neutralize the demonic forces that are influencing and holding Japan in captivity.

Now is a time to declare that old religious structures will fall and many will experience the freedom and reality of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Pray for needs to be met. Pray for people to find their new places to live. We are working with Ron Sawka who is an apostolic/prophetic leader who lives north of Tokyo near the earthquake epicenter. Any gifts for Japan will be sent directly to his ministry (Arise International). New Positioning and Timing!

Below is a news update which shares how the earthquake has literally shifted the location of Japan. The article also shares how this has changed the earth’s rotation and literally shortened the time of each day. With the shift of Japan towards the east, they are now seeing the light sooner each day! Additionally, time is “speeding up” and everyone’s days are getting shorter (not just those living in Japan). As “time” changes, pray that no one delays responding to the Lord and the move of His Spirit.

Quake Pushes Japan Eight Feet

The US Geological Survey (USGS) claims the Friday’s 8.9 magnitude quake along the northern coast of Japan has moved the island nation eastward by an estimated 8 feet. The tectonic shift was a result of “thrust faulting” along the boundary of the Pacific and North America plates, according to Paul Earle of the USGS. The North American plate is pushed by the Pacific plate at the rate of about 3.3 inches per year, however an earthquake large enough can provide a shove that is able to displace the plates with dramatic results. Similar movements had been recorded for the recent Indonesian and Chilean earthquakes, Earle continued.

No similar ground shift was noticed from the 7.0 earthquake that devastated Haiti last year. “A magnitude 7.0 is much smaller than the earthquake that just happened in Japan,” he said. “We’ve had aftershocks (in Japan) larger than the Haiti earthquake.”

NASA scientist Richard Gross reported that the earth’s rotation was also affected. Initial estimates show the rotation of the planet has shortened by approximately 1.8 microseconds (a microsecond is one millionth of a second), and also shifted Earth’s figure axis by about 6.5 inches. These are not time scales that would be noticeable by people but can be read by satellites, Gross told CBS News.

BOMBING IN JERUSALEM – ISRAEL NORTH AND SOUTH

Our visit to Israel was almost surreal three years ago.  My wife and I toured on central and northern Israel with a guidebook, our bibles and a small rental car.  It was marvelous.  The peace there among the places we visited (almost everything from Judah to the Northern boundary with Lebanon.

From our western perspective, we could not imagine the magnificent and holy city of Jerusalem ever being bombed.  But it is not happening.  Jerusalem being bombed!??

And to the south, the Gaza Strip area under heavy rocket and mortar attack is increasing daily.

I found Joel Rosenberg’s newsletter to again be very insightful.  The March 23 edition is quoted in part below.  Let this be a call to intensify our prayers for Jerusalem:

UPDATED AT 12:15pm EASTERN: Israel is suddenly facing a new wave of terrorism. A bombing in central Jerusalem today has killed a 59 year old woman and injured at least 38. More rockets and mortars hit southern Israel today, after 50 were fired at Israel last Saturday alone. A new report indicates that since the end of the Gaza operation in January 2009, 282 rockets and 193 mortar shells have been fired into Israel. The IDF is retaliating, but several innocent Palestinians have been killed in the process. Please pray for the Lord to bring peace to Jews and Arabs on both sides of the border, and healing to the victims.

Libya and the Middle East Whirlwind

Libya and the Middle East have captured world attention.  The whole whirlwind of war causes grave concern.  And so I asked the Lord about all this.  He began to speak to me.  The message below is what He said.  It will be released tomorrow morning on “What the Lord Is Saying Today.”

March 24, 2011.  Confusion and chaos in and among governments of nations are rampant worldwide.  There has never been such a time as this.  Corruption saturates most all governments.  Rulers are robbing the citizens and workers.  There is no check and balance in the highest places of government.  Your nation has started another war.  Your top leader initiated this war unilaterally without open interaction with congress, required by your constitution.  Accountability flew out the window.  Constitutionally established lines of authority are badly blurred or else totally ignored.  Now total confusion and chaos reigns among the coalition nations in this war.  No one will lead.  Will you endure to the end?  Brace yourself as these nations melt before Me one by one.

 TIMELINE

Friday – 3-11-11: 

• Japan is located along the Pacific “ring of fire,” an area of high seismic and volcanic activity stretching from New Zealand in the South Pacific up through Japan, across to Alaska and down the west coasts of North and South America.
• The Japan quake was “hundreds of times larger” than the 2010 quake that ravaged Haiti, and is ranked as the 4^th largest quake since 1900.
• The Japanese quake was of similar strength to the 2004 earthquake in Indonesia that triggered a tsunami that killed over 166,000 people in more than a dozen countries around the Indian Ocean.
• The 9.0 Richter scale earthquake, shifted the earth’s crust eight feet (2.4 meters) along the coast of Japan, and shifted the planet on its axis by nearly 6 inches (15.5 centimeters).
• 33 foot waves (10 meters) high tsunami in Fukushima Prefecture on Friday, causing the formation of 30-foot walls of water that swept across rice fields, engulfed entire towns, dragged houses onto highways, and tossed cars and boats like toys. Some waves reached six miles (10 kilometers) inland in Miyagi Prefecture on Japan’s east coast.

Saturday – 3-12-11 4:30a: 

• Hawaii hit by first aftermath of waves from the Japan tsunami.
• The Fukushima Daiichi plant, north of Tokyo is leaking radiation and wind is blowing it further north above Tokyo – with radiation leak in 1 of 4 reactors due to not having electricity needed to cool down the cores. Worst case scenarios is that people will have risk of cancer from exposure to radiation.
• Japanese media estimate that at least 1,300 people were killed. (Actual numbers may be closer to 10 times the initial estimate.)

 Monday – 3-13-11 9:30p: 

• Reactor 3 experiences hydrogen explosion and Reactor 2 has been compromised at the The Fukushima Daiichi plant. Radiation leaks into the atmosphere could be dispersed out as far as Tokyo.

God is moving and shaking us awake, I believe. This morning, I woke up with a start at 4:30a, approximately the same time the Japan tsunami aftermath waves hit Hawaii today, March 12, 2011. Was God signally just me, a lone individual currently in a small town in central Texas? No, I think not. I got on Facebook and others in my circle of acquaintances are also up and writing at about the same time. They, too, have been awakened at this early hour, some with accompanying pain, others not. Those of us who are particularly sensitive to God’s presence sometimes have travailing pain in crisis situations. I woke up with a severe headache – I attribute this to pressure changes in the atmosphere. To those of us familiar with Quantum Physics, everything that moves creates a counterpart opposing reaction. That includes atmospheric pressure changes (i.e. energy) from even the slightest movement of an atom on up to air waves created by sonic booms. Taken to infinity that means that in the spiritual realm, if we are awakened abruptly or startled it just might be the presence of God moving to gently nudge us into his realm. He does, after all, control all vibrations on the earth, including the earthquakes and the tsunamis. Take note, he may be giving us advance notice of the end of time. 

Ras recently commented along these lines:

“Yes, these are the end times.  But you have been in the end times since the first century of Christianity.  People and pundits have played the term end times to suit their own purposes.  I say unto you, be ready at all times.  I still control the times and seasons.  Be very watchful and pray to the Lord your God.  He will hear from Heaven.  …. I am still Lord over all things.  Let your heart be at peace.”

The Lord warns us that “The heavens and the earth will shake from all points from the east to the west and the north to the south.” This gives me pause to think about the events of late. I ask myself, “Where is Japan in relation to where I am in Texas?” It is due east of my current location. The tsunami aftermath is traversing the globe right now along the earth’s longitudinal axis from the east to the west hitting the western shores of the US and Hawaii as I write this. The nuclear radiation, as a result of the Japanese Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant explosion, is being picked up by the Pacific jet stream and could travel onwards to the Western Seaboard of the United States. In addition, the entire earth’s axis has shifted 6 inches from the massive earthquake in Japan. It is mind-boggling to think of the energy it takes to move that amount of mass. How much more “shaking” do we, the people, need in order for God to get our attention? 

A very wise, 85 year old friend of mine recently said to me that if we are true and faithful Christians, we will be saved in the end times, BEFORE the final earthly catastrophe’s hit. How will we know when and how this is going to happen? We will know because we will not feel pain, but only the joy and peace because God will have lifted us to heaven first. Unlike the non-believers left here the earth (if the planet still exists) where hell will reside.  Because He will give us that abrupt nudge, or push, that will cause us to come to attention. It may be a spit second, or a nanosecond, before “it” happens, but nonetheless the signal will come. So do not worry, do not fret, be at peace and be at rest. All is well. All is well.

All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.  He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10

Needed for Children at Garbage Dump – $350

After our heartbreaking visit to the garbage dump last Friday evening, we made our way to the worship center nearby. Pastor Rudy who oversees the care of the children, along with some wonderful helpers who love the children with a tenderness that touched our hearts, was there.

The worship center has a dirt and gravel floor and is completely open on the sides with a roof, something like a “pole barn” a person might find on a ranch at home in Texas.  It is filled with plastic stackable chairs, some with repairs and patches.  It is a simple structure, but full of the glory and presence of the Lord.

We saw something new at the worship center this time.  A closed in room has been constructed.  Purpose? To provide for a safe place for the orphans and those most at risk to sleep at night.  Currently there are 5 young girls sleeping on a simple plywood bed with a light cloth to cover them. The oldest, age 17, helps keep watch over the younger ones.

Pastor Rudy asked if we wanted to see behind the room. “Yes! Of course!!”  In the very small space out back, are plans for what they call a “dirty kitchen” and a “comfort room.”  A “dirty kitchen” is a place for cooking over a fire pit or a stone pot of coals and a place to store a small supply of firewood.  A comfort room is a toilet. They will build 2 toilets.

There are many needs at the garbage dump, but one of the most pressing is food and nutrition.  That is why your gifts to “Feed Hungry Children” are so vital.  Some of the children talk about not having anything to eat all day.  This “dirty kitchen” will be used to cook food for those children who have nothing to eat.  Children in the Philippines have a long lunch break and most go home to eat. For the children who live at the garbage dump, there is no food for their lunch.  These children will find food and love at the “Throne of Grace Worship Center” at the garbage dump. Your donations help provide that food.

We need $350 to build the “dirty kitchen” and “comfort room.” By providing, or helping to provide, for this need, you will be touching many young lives who live in the most devastating circumstances you can imagine.  The sponsorship of these children is very literally changing their lives for the future.  If you could just see the change that occurs in the lives of these youngsters once they are sponsored and begin to receive regular meals, you would be amazed that so little can do so much.  Feeding them helps them be healthy and able to learn in school.  Perhaps even more than that, it tells them that someone cares for them.

Hell and Heaven in One Night by Ras Robinson

We need your prayers of intercession right now, please! Last night, March 4, 2011, what our missions team saw was a contrast of Hell and Heaven.  Some of FCM’s sponsored children are living in unbelievable conditions at a garbage dumpsite in the Philippines. First, the Hell part:  Bev arrived at the dumpsite before me.  I arrived about two hours later to find my wife with panic in her eyes and face.  She said, “We have been in Hell!”  Upon my inquiry, she explained that what she and the rest of our team saw on this massive dumpsite was beyond disgusting.  Bev was weeping almost uncontrollably.  She does not normally weep about much of anything, ever. Local and very effective Pastor Rudy manages the education and Christian training of 93 of FCM’s sponsored students.  I asked him to take me on the same tour Bev had made of the dumpsite.  I was made sick at my stomach at the smells and sights.  Huge pigs were routing in the garbage right along beside our children and some adults.  One mother pig was said to weigh nearly 400 pounds.  It is forbidden to sell pigs from the dumpsite in Iligan City because of the extreme filth they ingest.  We want to tell you more about this at a later time. Second, the Heaven part.  That same night, those sponsored kids led a night of worship at the pole barn structure they call their church and community center.  These same kids were now cleaned up, had on fresh clothes and were ready to worship. All those who lead the service were children on the dumpsite trained by Pastor Rudy and his local church team. There was a praise leader, praise team, dance troupe, many testimonies from the children about how they, scripture quotation (one girl quoted all of Psalm 91.  Another girl quoted some other long scripture passage. One little girl quoted all the books of the Bible in rapid fire.  And they had a designated preacher who was about 11 years old. We shouted, praised and shed many, many tears, kids and adults alike.  It was like a heavenly experience. “LIBYA and End Times Prophecies” by Ras Robinson

Psalms 2:1-4 (NLT) “Why are the nations so angry?  Why do they waste their time with futile plans? The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one. “Let us break their chains,” they cry, “and free ourselves from slavery to God.”  But the one who rules in heaven laughs.  The Lord scoffs at them.”

Joel Rosenberg, in his February 28 blog presented below, has made it clear that a threat destruction of Israel is at hand with the turbulence in Libya.  Please read this carefully and pray.  I have made a few further comments at the end.

It is so painful to watch the horror show underway in Libya right now. Estimates tell us that at least 1,000 Libyans are dead. Many more are wounded. Some 100,000 people have apparently fled Libya in recent days as the situation goes from bad to worse.

The first sentence of a new Time magazine article asks, “Is it the End of Days for Libya?” The article looks at the rising death toll as Gaddafi continues using his army to slaughter the Libyan people desperate for change. It also asks the question of whether Libya will experience peace even if (or when) Gaddafi is deposed. Dirk Vandewalle, a Libyan expert at Dartmouth University, told Time: “Both sides, both the population, and the security organizations, know exactly what’s at stake. If government militias [are to] win, they will have to kill many more, and if the security organizations lose, then the people, the regular people in Libya are going to take their revenge….Either way we’re going to see a terrible blood bath.” David Mack, a former deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs, told Time that the worst possible outcome would be a widespread lawlessness in which Libya degenerated into a kind of “Somalia on the Mediterranean.”

What does the Bible tell us? Libya is referred to numerous times in the Scriptures, both directly and indirectly.

• In Matthew 27, for example, we learn that it was a Libyan man — Simon of Cyrene (a part of ancient Libya) — who carried the cross for our Lord Jesus.
• In Acts chapter 2, we learn that God-fearing men from Libya were present in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost and heard the Apostle Peter preach the gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit. Some 3,000 people that days repented of their sins and became fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. It is likely that Libyans were among them since they are mentioned in the text.
• In Acts 11, we learn that Libyan (Cyrene) followers of Jesus Christ helped bring the gospel to Antioch, Syria, and made disciples for Jesus there.
• In Acts 13 we learn that a Libyan man — Lucius of Cyrene — becomes one of the leaders of the church at Antioch, helping send out Barnabus and Paul to take the gospel to Asia and Europe.

Again and again in the Scriptures we see that the Lord loves the people of Libya. He wants them to know Him and receive His free gift of salvation.

That said, Bible prophecy also tells us the government and many of the people of Libya will be engaged in great evil in the End of Days.

• In Ezekiel 38-39, we learn that Libya is one of the nations that joins the Russian-Iranian alliance against Israel in “the last days.” In this prophecy, Ezekiel uses the name “Put.” The first century historian Flavius Josephus wrote in his famous book, The Antiquities of the Jews, that “Put” or “Phut” is “ancient Libyos.” Ancient Libyos, we know, certainly included the territory of the modern nation state we refer to today as Libya, but also included Algeria and possibly Tunisia. This tells us the no matter what the near term outcomes of the revolutions underway in North Africa are, in the not-too-distant future Libya for certain and possibly her neighbors will have virulently anti-Semitic and anti-Israel leadership who will eagerly join a coalition bent on destroying the Jews and occupy the land of Israel. Gaddafi, of course, is already such a leader. Perhaps he will ride out this storm and stay in power. Perhaps someone worse will rise up after him. Hopefully Gaddafi will be deposed and a more moderate leadership will rise up for a season before the prophecy of the “War of Gog and Magog” comes to fulfillment. Either way, the Church should be using this window of time to do everything possible to get the gospel into Libya and to strengthen the persecuted believers in Libya before the country faces God’s judgment for attacking Israel.
• In Daniel 11, we learn that Libya is one of the countries that will be under the control and direction of the Antichrist in “the last days.” The Hebrew Prophet Daniel tells us that “a despicable person will arise” during “a time of tranquility” and will seize global power “by intrigue” and by “overflowing forces” in the End Times. This person, known in Christian theology as the Antichrist, “will do as he pleases, and he will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will speak monstrous things against the God of gods; and he will prosper until the indignation is finished, for that which is decreed will be done.” The Bible tells us the Antichrist “will enter the Beautiful Land” — that is, Israel — and “will stretch out his hand against other countries.” Eventually, the Antichrist will gain control of the entire world and force all people who haven’t received Christ as Savior and Lord to bow and worship him or be beheaded. But the Bible specificially notes that the Antichrist “will gain control over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the precious things of Egypt; and Libyans and Ethiopians [the people of “Cush,” which includes modern Sudan, Ethiopia and possible Eritrea] will follow at his heels.” It is not entirely clear why the Bible points specifically to “Libyans” and “Ethiopians” as among those who will follow and serve the Antichrist, but this is what the Lord tells us in advance will happen.

This is all the more reason the Church must seek to reach all of North Africa with the gospel of Jesus Christ before it is too late. Please be praying faithfully for Libya and all of North Africa at this critical hour.
