Unlocking God’s Power in America

Posted: December 3, 2010 in Prophetic Intercession

Lord, it seems that your word and power are blocked in the highest to the lowest levels of government in this land You have given us.  Your name has been and is being removed from our school, currency and virtually all levels of government communication.  We have nowhere else to turn but to you.  We humble ourselves and cry out of help.  Certain and total governmental and financial disaster to this great nation looms larger day by day.

There is a very serious and colossal gridlock in Washington,  D. C., the seat of our national government, among those we have elected to lead us and our government.  You have warned us, “But if you have bitter jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry, selfish ambition) in your hearts, do not pride yourselves on it and thus be in defiance of and false to the Truth.  This [superficial] wisdom is not such as comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual (animal), even devilish (demoniacal).  For wherever there is jealousy (envy) and contention (rivalry and selfish ambition), there will also be confusion (unrest, disharmony, rebellion) and all sorts of evil and vile practices.”  James 3:14-16 (AMP).  We humbly confess that we are guilty as individuals and as a nation of these sins.

You say in your Scriptures, “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” Amos 3:3 (NKJV).  We believe and we pray You will not leave us unto ourselves alone.  Without you and your help, we are helpless and hopeless.  We beg of you, come to our aid.  We need your wisdom, “But the wisdom from above is first of all pure (undefiled); then it is peace-loving, courteous (considerate, gentle). [It is willing to] yield to reason, full of compassion and good fruits; it is wholehearted and straightforward, impartial and unfeigned (free from doubts, wavering, and insincerity).  And the harvest of righteousness (of conformity to God’s will in thought and deed) is [the fruit of the seed] sown in peace by those who work for and make peace [in themselves and in others, that peace which means concord, agreement, and harmony between individuals, with undisturbedness, in a peaceful mind free from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts].”  James 3:17-18 (AMP)

Forgive us Lord.  Grant to us grace and mercy.  Cause us to solicit your intervention that our nation may be united as one under your sovereign grace.  Bless us again with your righteousness and peace.

In the name of Jesus our Lord, amen.

To all our bloggers on this blog, please join with me in this prayer but in your own words.  Wouldn’t it be great if we could ourselves agree and pray as ONE with the Lord as our witness?  Do it now!

  1. Carolyn says:

Lord, you know we are living in a time of great stress, agitation and frustrations. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Kenya and the United States; Many have given up, but we cleave to you, even though we are guilty of numerous sins against You and Your laws. Forgive us in our weakness and stubbornness, have mercy Oh God! We need your love so much right now, we cannot make it with you for one more minute!

  2. Deborah Stephens says:

Father, in Jesus’ name, I rejoice to agree with this prayer advanced through this spiritual father and leader by your Holy Spirit and Holy Word to the praise of Your glory. For all belongs to You, O’ God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob and You rule in the kingdom of men. Reign, King Jesus!

Daniel 5:21 And he [Nebuchadnezzar] was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appoints over it whomsoever he will.

For you are our Savior Lord, Redeemer God & King and the government rests upon your shoulder and you usurp authority over the politicking currently taken place in our Nation’s capitol. We are your people and the beloved sheep of your pasture and we shall not lack or be denied your righteous judgment and rule. Yes, we humbly confess and repent of our sins and praise you for mercy, salvation and grace with hearts full of thanksgiving and worship. We speak your shalom in the anointing and power of Christ Jesus. We hereby decree and command that the gridlock in Washington DC to unlock now and lose what El Shaddiah has reserved for the good of this Nation and people at this time.

    Psalm 24
1The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.

    Isaiah 46:9-11 (King James Version)
9Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

10Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

11Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

O’ God of Israel – You are exalted in Heaven and in earth. We bless and thank you! Amen!

  3. Henry Schweichler says:

Dear Heavenly Father and Almighty God:

Thank you for this day and hearing the prayer of your fervent intercessors. Blessed be your Holy Name.

Hear now the prayer of your servants that intercede for their elected representatives. We pray that Gods will for our nation and people is placed on the hearts of those who are now seeking financial and administrative solutions for our nation. We pray that their debate and voting is in accordance with Gods Word, their hearts are pricked to remember the many Biblical examples that were left for us to follow, let them be stated in the House and Senate Chambers. We pray for the recovery of our elected President: that he is reminded of his election before God, and that despite the many pressures of High office he seeks Gods Will and guidance in leading us in righteous ways. Let All be for Gods Glory! In Jesus’ mighty Name! Amen!

  4. Judy Smith says:

As I was reading in 2 Chronicles this AM, I came across a couple verses that Hezekiah spoke to Judah when they saw that Sennacherib, king of Assyria was preparing to attack them. It is my prayer that the Body of Christ within USA would bow in humility before our heavenly Father and repent of our sin and then ponder the words spoken by Hezekiah:
“Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria (the enemy’s blinding lies), nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles. And the people were strengthened by the words…” (32: 7, 8)

    God bless America!
