Recoiling and Restarting in Washington D.C.

As President Obama returns home, the Lord has impressed me with this:
November 10, 2010.  Little birds may tell what you say.  You are in danger of playing into the hands of the enemy of the souls of man when you criticize the king and make light of him.  Once you begin that chatter it is difficult to stop.  There can be a reputation built that you are one who criticizes and curses those in top authority over you.  This is not good.  You have assumed that you can speak these things to those closest to you and in the most private of situations.  But I tell you those little birds are always listening.  They fly away to other birds and the stories can become legendary.  Instead, pray for the king and choose to see the good to declare it.  This will change everything.
Ecclesiastes 10:20 (NLT) “Never make light of the king, even in your thoughts.  And don’t make fun of the powerful, even in your own bedroom.  For a little bird might deliver your message and tell them what you said.”

Pray today that the new leadership team in governments will quickly convene and find the mind of the Lord (whether they would call it that or not) for the economic, political and legislative agendas.  May there be major breakthroughs in relationships that will bless the people of America.  Let us see the hand of the Lord strong to bring revival of spiritual maturity in Christ.

Pray for current House Speaker Pelosi and for the new House Speaker John Boehner.

Join with us to repent for criticisms and judgments against our leadership aimed at their person and not their actions.  Instead, start praying blessings and goodness over them.

    Father we repent for any words that were spoken from our hearts towards our President and towards anyone in positions of authority. This walk you have called us to walk is a narrow walk. We cannot take the opinions of man and make it ours. Our eyes and our hearts should be full of love for mankind and to promote words of love and forgiveness towards our fellowman. Father we pray that you would help us to see beyond ourselves and see others, especially those in authority(for you said to pray for our leaders) through your eyes so that it may go well with us and our nation. Help us to plant seeds of love and mercy for you are the husbandman and you will water those seeds and bring fruit to bear. You are the only one who is able to change the hearts of Kings. We thank you and bless your holy name for what you will do. Amen.

    I stand in the gap in intercession on behalf of President Obama and the United States of America. Just as Paul prayed to the Ephesians, we the intercessors kneel before the Father and pray that HIS riches will spread wide and deep, high and low throughout our nation and the current goverment administration. I see God’s annointing written all over President Obama. I pray that he accepts the full measure of the fullness of God, so that he can discern the slightest mistep or word that could be steeped in danger and treachery. I pray that we do not see history repeat itself as in the Kennedy assasination when the crosshairs of the devil met to destroy a generation of goodwill and faith among the peoples of America. I pray full protection and covering over the Obama family, so that all dangers are glanced off as if an impenetrable shield engulfs them in invisible protection. We need this administration to pull together and drop their factionistic, partisan positioning for the sake of the next generation of leaders (our children and grandchildren’s inheritance.)

    Eph 3:14-20 14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

    I agree with those prayers. Your word says to pray for our enemies and to do good to those who spitefuly use us. I pray for your Holy Spirit it to come and be in the thought and intents of each heart in each leader. And yes for forgiveness for any word or deed that has been spoken, please forgive me first and formost.

    Ras: I am struggling with discerning vs judging of our government. What rises up in me is anger at what is going on, the injustice, manipulation, the distortions, dishonesty, lying for personal power or financial gain, etc. I get angry because I feel I understand the agenda of Islam, how it is deeply rooted in our country and its agenda is to destroy all who will not believe as they do. How do I resist subtle and not so subtle actions, comments, behaviors by our leaders in government to accomplish what their blinded eyes perceive as truth? Am I wrong to be angry at this, at the behavior of our President? Is it wrong to speak of the President when he so blatently sells out the people of the United States in conversation and actions against God’s teachings? Is it wrong to educate others about these things. Please help me to see where the balance should be. I DO pray for our nation, that blind eyes would be open, that Godly servants be elected and serve, that God’s agenda be accomplished. I do feel sad that our President and other servants are blinded by the enemy. Can we NOT talk about such things? Do we have to keep it all inside of us?
