Baptism with Fire and the Holy Spirit
Want to get baptized with the Holy Spirit and with Fire? May I share my testimony with you?
Many have been filled with the Holy Spirit. Others are praying for that infilling. In times of awakening there is a crying out in desperation, “Lord, fill me, and consume me.” The prophet John told us about this marvelous phenomenon: Matthew 3:11 (NASB) “John said Jesus would baptize us with fire: As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
I recall the day and the hour of my own desperation being finally and partially satisfied as I was gloriously filled with the Holy Spirit. I had no idea about the baptism of fire that would follow. My whole spiritual world lit up like the noon day. God changed everything about me and mine. After all these years since that encounter, I am still testifying.
God showed me I was asleep in regards to receiving more than salvation: Ephesians 5:13-14 (NASB) “But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, ‘Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.'” No one every told me there was more to salvation than simply getting saved.
For me, the fire brought with it an anointing to minister the gospel with power. The gifts of the Holy Spirit manifested beautifully. Joy flooded my soul.
Subsequently, I got baptized with the fire of persecution for my “more.” No one seemed to understand. Mostly, I walked alone except for my wife. She joined with me and I joined in with her. But no matter the fire, God sustained us and grew us. But more than anything, He kept increasing the hunger for Him.
Are you hungry for Him? He has this huge banquet table set with everything you need. He is right now extending an invitation to you that you join Him at the table. Will you come?

Perfect timing for this blog, Ras. My small group has studied this topic all week in our foundations book. Tonight we lay hands on them to receive power for ministry. I am confident He will come and light up their lives too.

I believe in the baptism by fire and the Holy Spririt but have not received it. i have prayed over and over for it but still I have not received it or tongues. Please pray that i will receive this blessing. I want so badly to be more intimate with our Lord.

I was moved by this most recent email from you about the fire baptism. How do receive the fire baptism? If we recieved the Holy Spirit baptism, is this the same as the fire? Do you have to speak in “tounges” to be sure you’ve received the baptism of the Holy Spirit? HELP????
Please help me understand??????

I have been baptized with “fire” and give God glory for this blessing that gives power in service to others. I feel it has given me greater revelation of His Word and a greater hunger for more of it since I recieved His “power from on high”. I will be praying for each of you who have NOT YET experienced; that you will very soon. He says in His Word; seek and ye shall find, knock and the door will be opened, ask and you shall receive. No good thing does He withhold from His children. God bless.

Lord quicken me with more and more of yourself until the Fire of your passion totally consumes me:-) I only live to preach your Gospel and instruct your disciples..through those you entrusted with your Words….My Lord and My GOD…re-baptize me with your own Holy Spirit and Fire……….!

I thought the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fore meant you hit the floor and asked God to show you all your sins? I have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost with tongues but now not much power.

More than anything Debbie, God wants to show His love for you. Pray, pray and pray. Then read his scriptures more and more. You will be pleased over time as to what God does for you.

Hi – If you don’t mind can I share my personal experiences? I’m 39 & have experienced the Holy Spirit “Fire” 4 different times all in 2011. I watched the ‘Fire of God’ DVD a dozen of times by Evang. Nathan Morris – Bay of Holy Spirit Revival’ about revival! I have been baptized with the Holy Spirit, regularly pray & sing in the Spirit (Oh so Heavenly!) & hungry for more of God, Jesus & Holy Spirit in my life! When I received His “Fire” I was totally HOT! His Glory & Power was so very intense. The 1st time I went up to the front of my church to drop of an offering, my pastor ust have been directed & reached out to touch my hand & WOW, I was on the floor & struggled to take my jacket off. 2nd time I went up & prayed “God I give you my best I want Your best” I was sitting & felt my head directed toward the ground in reverance, when I went to get up, I looked up to my pastor – like I’m not sure I can get up? made it 1/2 way up & ended up back on the ground experiencing great heat, eventually got up only long enough to make it back to my seat & then I knew I was headed back to the floor. For several hours I was ‘stuck’ to the floor, I was not paralized but it was like a heavy heavenly weight was on me, I believe transformation was taking place, kind of like an Angel was operating on me? preparing me & my hunger increased & I was even more repentant. I laugh & cry in the spirit and I seem to be even more sensitive. 3rd time a young guy – 20 something – hungry for God came to the prayer group I attended & prayed for others to receive Baptism by Fire, again Heat, Love of the Father, etc… 4th time was just this past Wednesday again at the prayer group an Evangelist / Missionary, she sees healings – miracles – salvations etc.. – very humble – prayed & this time the Fire I experienced was at least some 4 times greater – hotter – stronger – I was on the floor & my mom said she could see my skin blochy from the heat / power / equiping taking place for ministry for others. It is common for a blanket to be placed on someone – please don’t – maybe a bucket of ice (just kidding!) This is becoming more common, be hungry – stay hungry! If you really want more of God & seek Him in faith – He will surely pour out His love on you too. Thanks for letting me share. God Bless!
